A total of 18 Doane track and field team members, 10 women and eight men, were named to the NAIA Scholar-Athlete list last week.
Tiger women’s team members named included Blair Dixon, Wauneta; Amy Kreikemeier, Bellwood; Bailey Kremke, Casper, Wyo.; Jillian Ourada, Omaha; Brooke Pfeifer, Waco; Emily Reed, Syracuse; Halie Smith, Albion; Alyssa Straube, Blair; Aprill Bodlak, Emerson and Jessica Driewer, York.
Selections from the men’s team included Tim Burge, Grant; Cason Christensen, Raymond; Andrew Hamann, Lincoln; Brad Higgins, Norfolk; Brian Hubbert, Elm Creek; Vince Krejci and Micah Marvin, Crete and Nate Teten, Auburn.
In order to earn the honor, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior and hold a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average.
