Update: Burlington Northern RR informed the City of Crete Street Department today they plan to start work on the rail crossings on Main Street Wednesday.
The Main Street crossing just north of the downtown area will be closed Wednesday to Friday (June 27-29) for crossing and track replacement.
The Boswell crossing north of Hwy. 33 was closed last week for work completed over two days.
Information from Mike Hatfield, city street supervisor and Tom Ourada, Director of Public Works said Burlington Northern intends on performing track and crossing replacement in both areas.
