The Crete High baseball team took advantage of improving weather last week and went 2-1 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, defeating Seward 9-8 Thursday and Lincoln High 16-6 Friday at home before dropping a 10-2 decision Saturday at Bennington. The Cardinals lost to Waverly 8-6 Monday at Tuxedo to fall to 4-4.

The Crete High boys’ soccer team scored an 8-0 shutout victory over Nebraska Lutheran Thursday in Waco and defeated Grand Island Central Catholic 4-1 Monday, improving to 5-3 on the season.
