Crete High’s Ian McGowan finished in a seven-way tie for 12th place Tuesday and Wednesday at the Class B state golf meet at the Meadowlark Hills Golf Club in Kearney.
McGowan shot a 36-hole total of 164, 17 strokes off the winning score of individual medalist Max Rudder of Norris.
On Tuesday, McGowan finished the day with a round of 74, tying Rudder for the lead at the halfway point of the tournament.
The lone Cardinal player in the state field, McGowan returned on Wednesday to shoot a 90.
Norris won the team title, followed by Omaha Skutt and McCook.
